Ombre Overload

I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you that I love all things ombre. In fact, I'm finally getting my hair ombre'd next week! Can't wait. It amazes me how far the ombre trend has gone. I saw this photo on Pinterest and fell in love with this ombre striped dress. How cute right? I've been on the search for it and can't for the life of me figure out where its from! However, I did see these really cute ombre striped tanks in the Gap yesterday. I love how ombre has taken over the fashion world in every way. What will they ombre next?

The Cambridge Satchel

The Cambridge Satchel is one of the biggest trends this Spring/Summer. Everywhere I turn I see this bag, whether it be on the streets of New York City or in magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire. I die for this bag! Not only do I love the bright, bold colors and functional design, but the price isn't so bad either ($150). It's a classic bag with a contemporary twist and the neon colors add the perfect amount of punch to any outfit. If there's one item I don't mind splurging on, its a bag. You use them every day so why not get one that's sturdy and gorgeous and you love! And I love this one. I really love the color shown above and the neon pink one best. Definitely a must have.

Am I Too Late?

In 2009 boyfriend jeans were all the rage. I bought a pair from Madewell that Spring and told the girl I thought they were too big on me (which they were). But she assured me that they weren't too big, that it was "just the look." Seriously I looked like a fool! Now I'm sure she just wanted the sale. It was good for her but for me it was $100 wasted on jeans that I wore maybe once for ten minutes. But lately I've been thinking about how cute boyfriend jeans were and how much I still really want a pair. Preferably ones like this chick is wearing above. A pair that's fitted but not painted on her leg. I think these are the perfect kind. Am I 3 years too late or can I still find boyfriend jeans somewhere? Help!

Cable Knit

Cable knit sweaters are my favorite thing to wear as soon as the weather gets a little colder. Such a classic fall wardrobe essential. They're so cozy and warm. It's like wearing a blanket out of your house. I've been seeing cute cable knit sweaters everywhere I look recently and I need to invest in a new one. Definitely putting that on my Christmas list.

Neutrals

I love neutrals. Alone. Layered. Any season. Any occasion. They've always been my favorite to wear.

Wishful Wednesday

Wishing for ombre hair. I still want.

Color Blocking

One of my favorite trends invading the runways this summer is color blocking. It's so refreshing to see so many bright colors in one outfit, I almost can't handle it. Although I love color blocking of any kind, I especially love seeing the bright oranges, hot pinks, and reds paired together with an accessory from the opposite end of the color spectrum (like the turquoise clutch seen below). It just puts me in such a good mood. And although I'm very much a "print" girl - if you can't tell by my posts on ethnic & tribal patterns this spring & summer, I can't help but appreciate the solid colors complimenting each other in these looks. It's so effortless yet fun and flirty at the same time. (Images via Pinterest

Friendship Bracelets

As soon as summer rolls around, everyone starts sporting friendship bracelets. They're such a summer staple so why not step it up to the next level. I'm dying for one of these Ariel Gordon silk woven friendship bracelets. The best part about them is you get to choose which two colors you want on your bracelet so it makes them somewhat custom. I'd probably go with turquoise and spring green or watermelon and tangerine. They go for about $115 a bracelet.

Orange Zest

Orange lipstick has quickly become a major trend for summer in the beauty world. I don't love wearing lipstick but I can't deny that I love the pop it gives you and it just looks so refreshing. It's flirty and fresh and makes a statement. If you're not so keen on a bold bright orange lip then try something in different shades of orange like coral, apricot or tangerine. Some of my favorite hues of orange lipstick are: Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Orange, Mac Lipstick in Morange, Mac Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go, YSL Rouge Volupte in Tender Peach, and Clinique Chubby Stick in Mega Melon

Birds of a Feather

The feather trend has been taking over the Hollywood scene for the past few months. Everyone from Steven Tyler to Blake Lively is wearing feather hair extensions in their gorgeous locks. It's only $45 and takes 10 minutes to put them in your hair. You can buy them at the Wendy Nichol store in NYC and have them put in your hair by a stylist. It's the new fun way to spice up your 'do. And if having feathers in your hair is just a little too much for you, you can still follow the trend by wearing feather earrings or any other feathered accessory your heart desires.

Spring Obsession: Denim Jackets

My favorite thing about spring is wearing light jackets. It's a sure sign that summer is soon to come. My spring obsession this year is denim jackets in particular. Personally I haven't worn a denim jacket since maybe 9th grade but I plan on investing in one as soon as possible. I love they way they look with cute sundresses, maxi dresses or a pair of black skinnies. You can dress it up or dress it down.

Neon Brights

Neon brights invaded the runways at Spring Fashion Week last month. I've been seeing the neon trend all over Manhattan lately whether it be a bold pair of fuschia jeans or a subtle pop of color on someone's nails.
1. Splendid Cotton Tank $44 2. Tory Burch Neon Studded Cuff $95 3. Vivienne Westwood Color Block Clutch $500 4. Urban Outfitters Risky Business Sunglasses $10 5. J Brand Skinny Jeans $229 6. Debora Lippman Lara's Theme $16 7. Christopher Kane Skinny Neon Belt $155

Mini Shoulder Bags

Reed Krakoff’s new mini shoulder bag is the must have bag this spring. I’ve been seeing them everywhere I go and I love them. These cross-body bags are beautifully constructed in soft leather, come in pretty colors and are not too overpriced. If I had $525 to spare I’d buy the grey/tan combo. It’s classic and definitely a standard staple for your accessory wardrobe.
