Can't Live Without: Moroccan Oil

Early last summer I decided to dye my hair for the first time ever and hop on the ombré train. I loved the way it turned out... so much so that I haven't cut my hair since then, for fear all of the ombré will be chopped off. I'm a hairdresser's nightmare. (It's been 7 months since I've gotten a haircut!) Technically I could just get a haircut and get it done again but my monetary funds don't support this decision. So instead of been trying to nurse my dead, dyed hair back to health. Moroccan Oil has been my savior. I've been using it for a little over a month now and I see such a big difference. My hair is healthier, shinier, and just feels so much softer. I officially can't live without it!

The Messy Bun

It's safe to say that I have a love hate relationship with my hair. I attempt to try different hairstyles but I'm not a fan of hairspray and I have an insane amount of fly aways... and not the cute kind. Either way the messy bun is one of my go to hairstyles when I'm hanging around the house but I've been thinking about ways I can perfect it so I'm able to wear it outside of the comfort of my own home. Kristin Cavallari, my favorite reality show villain, has got the messy bun down pact. I found this adorable tutorial on Seventeen. I just nixed the double headband.

Top Knot

I rarely wear my hair up unless I'm just lounging around the house. I'm just not a fan of the ponytail. After watching countless Kardashian marathons over winter break, I've become obsessed with the top knot. I know I'm a little late on this one. Top knots were all over the runways last Spring and have been seen on just about every celebrity, but I can't help but feel that it's Kourtney's "thing". She prefers a perfectly polished look. I love it but I also love the undone, messy top knot as well. It's so easy and such a great alternative for everyday hairstyles.

Fishtail

Whenever I'm too lazy to straighten or curl my hair, or the weather is just not in my favor, this is my go-to-look... the fishtail braid. It's cute, messy, and fun, and I always get a ton of compliments on it. This video from free people is exactly how I learned to do it myself.
