Ombre Overload

I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you that I love all things ombre. In fact, I'm finally getting my hair ombre'd next week! Can't wait. It amazes me how far the ombre trend has gone. I saw this photo on Pinterest and fell in love with this ombre striped dress. How cute right? I've been on the search for it and can't for the life of me figure out where its from! However, I did see these really cute ombre striped tanks in the Gap yesterday. I love how ombre has taken over the fashion world in every way. What will they ombre next?

Boards On My Pinterest Profile
I've always loved saving images I find inspiring or ripping pages out of magazines of looks I like or hairstyles I want to try. I used to try to organize images in different files on my computer but it quickly became chaos. What a disaster. Then a little over a year and a half ago I stumbled across this amazing site called Pinterest. At the time it was a smaller community but I wanted to see what it was about so I sent a request to join and it took about two weeks for them to notify me that I was officially part of the community. I immediately started organizing boards and saving images that I loved into different categories. Fast forward a few months. Last year in March I started my blog, this very one you are reading right now. Pinterest became my savior. It was the easiest, fastest, convenient, and bonus, most fun way of collecting and filing away inspiration for posts. I have boards for anything and everything from fashion to food to hair and makeup. Fast forward to now... Pinterest has exploded. Every girl I know has a Pinterest or is begging one of her friends to send her an invite so she can get in on the action. Pinterest is even coming out with their own app specifically designed for iPads. I could honestly talk about this site all day. I absolutely love it and suggest every one of you get one as soon as possible. You will not be disappointed. Here's a look at some of my boards...

Am I Too Late?

In 2009 boyfriend jeans were all the rage. I bought a pair from Madewell that Spring and told the girl I thought they were too big on me (which they were). But she assured me that they weren't too big, that it was "just the look." Seriously I looked like a fool! Now I'm sure she just wanted the sale. It was good for her but for me it was $100 wasted on jeans that I wore maybe once for ten minutes. But lately I've been thinking about how cute boyfriend jeans were and how much I still really want a pair. Preferably ones like this chick is wearing above. A pair that's fitted but not painted on her leg. I think these are the perfect kind. Am I 3 years too late or can I still find boyfriend jeans somewhere? Help!

Room of the Week

When I was younger I always wanted a chair swing in my room, but my walls are slanted and the beams probably wouldn't have been able to support the weight anyway. Nonetheless, I thought chair swings were the coolest things ever. I probably saw one in Teen Vogue or something. Anyways, this Room of the Week isn't so much an entire room, more like a small section of one but I still think it's awesome. Obviously the chair swing is my favorite part and the reason why I chose it. I'm starting to remember why I liked them so much.

Wishful Wednesday

Wishing I wasn't lactose intolerant so I could enjoy a large ice cream sundae, right about... now. I miss you ice cream! Maybe one day we will meet again.

A Little Bit of Sparkle

Everywhere I turn I spot this Zara sequined clutch. And the more I see it the more I fall in love with it. It's such a great accessory and adds a little bit of sparkle to an ordinary outfit. Definitely a must have. For $60 it's a steal!

Room of the Week

How beautiful is this kitchen? It's so sleek and modern! I love the turquoise ceiling and the stainless steel backsplash. You would think the stainless steel backsplash on top of all the stainless steel appliances would be too overpowering but it's not at all. Such a great idea but can you imagine what a pain it would be to clean that all the time?

Roadtrippin'

I've always wanted to go on a road trip with someone other than my family. Today is the day. My boyfriend & I are on our way to South Carolina as we speak for a vacation. I don't generally love 12 hour car rides but I'm definitely not mad at the fact that I get to spend time with my mans and have tons of fun on the road. Anyways I plan on taking a bunch of pics with my polaroid on the way down. I'll post those when we get back.

Apple Sandwich

If you ask anyone that knows me, they'll tell you that I am the furthest thing from a healthy eater. I generally eat the most unhealthy thing I can find. But lately (somewhere in the last 12 hours) I've decided that I might need to change my lifestyle a bit. I just need to feel energized instead of tired and lazy. This apple sandwich looks like a good place to start. (I'm not really a peanut butter fan but I'm willing to try it.) Not only is it healthy but it requires no actual cooking. All you need is apple slices, peanut butter, granola and chocolate chips. (source Pinterest
