Insta-Sam

{Cool photograph of me & Pat lounging by the pool.}
This past weekend was mine & Pat's two year anniversary, so we headed out to the Hamptons after our original plans got cancelled. We decided to stay for two days to relax and have fun. We had such a great time doing such simple things like playing board games and eating outside in town. It was very us and ended up being the most amazing anniversary ever. Here's a few Instagram photos from our weekend...
{Pat having a glass of Chardonnay during dinner at Barristers in Southampton.}

{My incredibly delicious burger from Barristers. Seriously, it might have been the best cheeseburger I've ever had, and that says a lot coming from me.}

{It was so hard to pick which two flavors of gelato we wanted from Sant Ambroeus.}

{Our cups of gelato! I ended up getting vanilla and chocolate chip, and Pat got strawberry and banana.}

Colorblocked

I'm sure by now most of you know that I have a small obsession with bags. Bags are the one thing I don't mind splurging on. This bag was love at first site for me. I've been wanting a colorful bag, something I can wear to spice up a neutral outfit. This may be the one! It's the Marc by Marc Jacobs Bob's Memphis Colorblock Satchel. I love the structure of the bag and the colors. It's perfect! Must. Have. It.

Room of the Week

Love, love, loving this dining room. I've had this room saved in my favorites for a while now but I was waiting for the perfect time to share it with you. Everything is very simple. White walls, silver industrial pendant lights, a wooden table, with only one frame on the wall. Plain. But then their are the chairs. The chairs are what make this room beautiful. The patterns on them are a lovely floral design with bright pinks and blues and greens. Tons of color but still elegant looking. Bold without being overbearing. I love them.

Inspiration of the Day

Usually I love the weekends because it gives me a chance to catch up on things and relax, but this past weekend was a little bit stressful and quite exhausting. I am not the type of person that's good at letting things go. I constantly overanalyze things and stress myself out even more. I came cross this quote and I think it really sums up what we all should all be doing, especially myself. Do things that you love and make you happy. Don't stress the small stuff and overanalyze things. I thought it was a nice dose of inspiration for today.

To An Amazing Woman

Happy Birthday to an amazing woman, my grandma, Norma Evers! I consider myself extremely lucky to be so close with my grandmother. Our relationship is very different from the relationships that most people have with their grandmothers, as most of my friends can tell you. She is not your typical grandmother, knitting sweaters in a rocking chair. She is always moving and working and doing. She is full of life and young at heart and has a beautiful spirit about her. She is more than a grandma to me she is a great friend. I am constantly at her house or calling her, venting about my problems or telling her something amazing that happened and confiding in her, and she does the same with me. She is genuinely an incredible woman, strong and smart, and always has been. I am so blessed to have someone like her in my life. I love you Grandma! Happy Birthday!

Wishful Wednesday

Wishing I could find these bookends (preferably in white)! I've been on the search for cute bookends for years! I currently still have my books held up by candles because I haven't been able to find any that I like. These are perfect! And just in time for Valentines Day!

Update: I found them! But they only come in hot pink. They're from Pottery Barn Teen and they're $39. I don't know if I'm willing to spend that much money on bookends. Plus I'd have to spray paint them white.  Decisions, decisions.

Weekend

I just recently got an iPhone for Christmas and like everybody else I've fallen in love with my Instagram app. I discovered this site Ink361 where you can view all of your friends and your own Instagram photos larger so I just grabbed a couple of my favorites from the weekend and decided to show you what we did.

1. The Sky Wheel down by the boardwalk.
2. Me and Pat on it.
3. The view of the sun setting from the top of the Sky Wheel.
4. Me touching a horseshoe crab at the aquarium.
5. Nemo and Dory!
6. Sunshine at Broadway at the Beach. (Don't be fooled, it was really cold.)
7. Tux! Seriously Pat's aunt's dog is huge! Doesn't he look like a person?

Myrtle Beach

I'm having the best time ever in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with my boyfriend. I feel like most people don't think of Myrtle Beach as an exciting place but we're really having so much fun. We've gone to the beach, hung out at the enormous pool, walked around Broadway at the Beach, ate out A LOT, and watched a million movies. I'm a little sad that we only have two days left but I'm already looking forward to the next vacation we take together. (Image via Tumblr.)

10 Things You Should Know About Me

I woke up this morning more than disappointed in the weather. Didn't spring start yesterday? Anyways, for now I'll leave you with this: a list of 10 things I think you should know about me. Here goes...

1. I am a 21-year-old Advertising Design student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

2. I am a middle child.

3. I currently live at home with my mother, father, sister and chocolate Labrador, Sydney. (My younger brother lives in Boston where he attends college.)

4. I am an avid chick lit reader. There is nothing like a good book to make you cry.

5. I am an extremely picky eater but am trying to broaden my food horizons.

6. I enjoy cooking but baking is my passion. Cake batter is my guilty pleasure.

7. Photography, especially foodography, has always been a hobby of mine.

8. I am in love.

9. I have a fear of flying but I love to travel. My mother worked for Northwest Airlines when my siblings and I were young so I've been all over the United States including Florida, Arizona, Texas, California and Alaska. In the past few years I've traveled outside the U.S. to Ireland and Italy. (I happen to be half Irish and half Italian.)

10. I am an emotional shopper. Sad, happy, angry, bored, excited. Any mood, I shop.
