I always look forward to getting the Free People catalog in the mail. I just love the way they style the shoots and they're always so fun and creative. This past months catalog was one of my favorites thus far. The concept behind it was L.A. vs. N.Y.C. style. Being from New York and loving New York fashion, I obviously chose to emphasize the NYC shoot, which featured one of my favorite models, the beautiful Karlie Kloss. The shoot is so touristy but so perfect! She looks adorable parading through the city in the cutest outfits, stopping to pose in a Statue of Liberty hat and eating at hot dog and pretzel vendors.
Fair Isle sweaters are a never ending trend once the cold weather hits. They're such a staple of winter. And bonus! They're so comfy and warm and still stylish. This winter I haven't been seeing too many Fair Isle sweaters but instead I've been seeing Fair Isle leggings everywhere! They're so cute and cozy looking. I have to get myself a pair. These are just a couple that I've had my eye on...
I'm loving the new Tribal Shop lookbook from Free People. I love the ethnic prints of the clothing, layering of jewelry, and the tribal paint all over the models. Kind of amazing.
Whenever I'm too lazy to straighten or curl my hair, or the weather is just not in my favor, this is my go-to-look... the fishtail braid. It's cute, messy, and fun, and I always get a ton of compliments on it. This video from free people is exactly how I learned to do it myself.
